Hervé Mignot appointed Chief AI Officer of European Digital Group

Paris, 7 September 2023 - European Digital Group, a leading player in digital acceleration, announces the appointment of Hervé Mignot as Chief AI Officer to develop the Group's Artificial Intelligence offering and lead the AI transformation of its subsidiaries.

Hervé Mignot is a partner and leading expert in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at digital transformation consultancy Equancy, and will also hold the position of Chief AI Officer at EDG. This appointment is part of the integration of Equancy into the EDG Group in May 2023. 

Hervé will support EDG's customers in their Data and AI transformation challenges, as well as the group's subsidiaries in exploiting the opportunities offered by the rapid growth of Artificial Intelligence.

He has already undertaken several generative AI projects for EDG Group customers in the fields of human resources, document intelligence, analytical assistants and augmented chatbots for customer services. He also leads the Group's R&D programmes. 

Artificial Intelligence, the common thread running through his academic and professional career

Following a doctoral thesis in machine learning at the University of Paris-Sud, Hervé Mignot worked on the uses of data in a number of business sectors, exploiting a wide range of data science algorithms to improve the performance of business and technical processes. In 1997, Hervé joined the start-up Integral Solution Limited, which was acquired in 1998 by SPSS for its flagship data mining product Clementine (now IBM SPSS Modeler). In 2008, when SPSS was acquired by IBM, Hervé joined Equancy to reinforce the rapid growth of its Data activity. Hervé is also Associate Professor at Aix-Marseille University and teaches data science at several engineering schools.
